IFJ-SAMSN violations monitoring is undertaken by the IFJ Asia-Pacific, together with IFJ affiliates in South Asia. IFJ mapping provides specific categorisation of violations of journalists across the region by UNESCO Journalists\u2019 Safety Indicators (JSIs). These indicators are further defined by IFJ classifications.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to dedicated monitoring units in some IFJ affiliated organisations in some countries in South Asia (e.g. Nepal and Pakistan), violation figures may be higher than those with fewer monitoring resources.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
