Alert: Missing Nepali Journalist found dead

Nirmala Paharai, a journalist affiliated with Kailali FM, was found dead in a forest in the Ghodaghodi municipality in the Kailali district. The International Federation of Journalist (IFJ) is deeply saddened by the incident and urge authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the journalist’s death.
Paharai, who had been missing since September 16, was found hanging from a tree on September 19. Her family members claim she was murdered and have demanded a full investigation.
Authorities are still investigating the case.
