Pakistan: Abb Takk journalists attacked
21 Dec, 2020A group of armed persons attacked Abtak News Bureau Chief Sakhar, interior Sindh, Imdad Pholphoto who along with his colleague Altaf Kalorr sustained serious head injuries and got arm fractured. PFUJ President GM Jamali and Secretary General Rana Muhammad Azeem, has strongly condemned the attack on office bearer of the Sakhar Union and demanded the police authorities to take action against the culprits and put them behind the bar.
According to the details, a group of armed persons attacked Imdad Phophoto’s and his friend in his office to take revenge of news filed against the malfunctioning of local mafia. As many as 12 persons attacked the journalists Imdad Pholphoto and his colleague who sustained serious head injuries. Imdad Pholphoto also had minor fracture on his arm while his colleague Altaf Kalorr got his arm seriously fractured. They were immediately taken to near by hospital and got treatment. A FIR has been registered in Site area Police station while three of the attackers were captured by the handed over to the police. The police despite registering the FIR was not pursuing the case. The PFUJ leadership has demanded the local police to take immediate action to put the culprits behind the bar.
