Gender Safety Training workshop: Kabul, Afghanistan

The IFJ with the support of the Afghan Independent Journalists’ Association held a Gender Safety Training workshop in Kabul on November 3 and 4. The workshop was supported by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry and led by one of the IFJ South Asia Gender Representatives, Dilrukshi Handunnetti from Sri Lanka.
The workshop was attended by male and female journalists from across Afghanistan who discussed the challenges for women journalists in Afghanistan, including workshop sexual harassment and journalist rights.
