Digital Campaign Skills Training: Kabul, Afghanistan
05 Dec, 2015The Afghanistan in-country training on the Digital Campaign Skills was delivered on December 3 and 4, 2015 at the InterContinental Kabul Hotel, locally hosted by the Afghanistan Independent Journalists Association (AIJA) under the UNDEF-funded project.
There were 21 participants including 13 female participants and representing Kabul and other provinces. The participants ranged from early career journalists to journalists having a few decades of experiences. The workshop went well with the participants engaging in the activities and group works enthusiastically.
The participants were all on Facebook but most of them were not in Twitter. Some of them signed up for Twitter during the training and did a few basic things on Twitter for the first time. On Facebook, they created Facebook page to learn how to use it.
Following the popular voting and the logical analysis, the group came up with the following issues as the most important issues for the Afghani journalists: Safety and Security of Journalists, Job Security and Gender Equality.
