Media Rights Monitoring and Advocacy workshop: Karachi, Pakistan

On April 13 to 14, 2014 the IFJ Asia Pacific office held a two-day Media Monitoring and Advocacy Workshop under the UN Democracy Fund project in Karachi, Pakistan.

The Workshop was run by IFJ Asia Pacific acting director Jane Worthington and was attended by 25 journalists and union leaders from various part of Pakistan including Baluchistan.

The workshop focused on the importance of media rights monitoring, effective documentation, reporting of media rights violations and effective advocacy strategies for journalists unions.

The workshop and training were co-organized by Pakistan Federation Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and hosted by the Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ).
