Pakistan: PFUJ condemns attack on Kabirwala Press Club Secretary Rao Amjad Nadeem
20 Oct, 2022Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) President GM Jamali and Secretary Rana Muhammad Azeem have condemned the murderous attack on FEC member and Kabirwala Press Club Secretary Rao Amjad Nadeem and urged the officials of the Punjab government that the accused involved in this murderous attack should be immediately arrested and they should be given real punishment. According to the incidents, notorious drug dealers, possession mafia, touts of police station City Kabirwala, handlers of fake IDs, gangster used to blackmail people whom Rao Amjad exposed them by filing news against them.
To take revenge, Adeel, Aqeel son of Rana Ahmed, Rizwan Fuji, Ahmed Muawiya, Ali Olakh and 8 Unknown persons armed themselves with weapons, tortured Rao Amjad with irons rod, hockey sticks near Kabirwala Bus stop and left him bleeding. He was transferred to the emergency ward of the hospital with severe injuries. PFUJ Secretary General Rana Mohammad Azeem immediately contacted the IG police of Punjab Province and Adviser Home department and demanded that strict action be taken against the accused. The PFUJ leadership assured Rao Amjad of their full cooperation and said that if the administration fails to arrest the alleged accused, then there will be a nationwide protest against it.
