Regarding the organization of the Biennial Convention to be held on 25-26-27 August, 2023 at Jaipur.

It is a matter of great pleasure that after a gap of two years, the biennial convention of the National Union of Journalists India is being organized in Jaipur on 25, 26 and 27 August 2023. During the restrictions imposed during the Corona period, the virtual convention was organized under the leadership of NUJI President Ras Bihari. More than two thousand members took part in it at more than 200 places. Since 2018 till now, the state units affiliated to NUJI have organized many programmes. On behalf of NUJ, large scale agitation will be launched for the formation of Journalist Security Act, Media Council and Media Commission and harassment of journalists.
The Journalists’ Association of Rajasthan has decided to hold its National Convention on 25, 26 and 27 August in Jaipur. Gratitude to former JAR President Rakesh Sharma, former General Secretary Sanjay Saini, NUJI Vice President Vimlesh Sharma, JAR President Subhash Sharma, General Secretary Bhag Singh and all other colleagues. We are happy that Rakesh Sharma, former president of JAR, has given reality to the announcement of holding the general convention in Jaipur in the national convention held in Bhopal in November. For this, Rakesh Sharma and all his associates are working very hard.
After the Biennial Convention held in Jaipur in 1995, this time the convention will be organized. Earlier, the National Council Conference was also organized in Rajasthan. National Executive meeting was organized in 2020 and 2021 in Jaipur and Dausa. Thenational conference was organized in Bhopal in November 2022. Programs were organized in many state units affiliated to NUJI. NUJ President Ras Bihari, Secretary General Pradeep Tiwari, Treasurer Arvind Singh, Vice President Kamalkant Upamanyu, Deepak Rai, Ranesh Rana, Vimlesh Sharma, Punyam Raju, Bhupen Goswami, Secretary Amlesh Raju, KC Joshi participated in many programs. Former NUJ President Pragyanand Chowdhary and former General Secretary Prasanna Mohanty are continuously playing a big role in strengthening NUJ. All efforts are being made to keep the organization active in all the states. Soon the organization will be revamped in Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat and Punjab. NUJ will soon inform about the formation of the Election Commission.
You must know about Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur was established in the year 1727. King Jaisingh II of Amer had built this city. Due to increasing population and water scarcity, he shifted his capital from Amer to this new city of Jaipur. The settlement and architecture of this city was according to the principles of famous architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. A new chapter in the history of Jaipur was added in 1876 when the Prince of Wales visited India. To welcome him, the then Maharaja Ram Singh painted the entire city pink (Hhirmichi). The forts of Amber, Nahargarh and Jaigarh and the pink city Jaipur got ready to welcome. Jaipur became the first planned city of its kind in the whole world. Famous for its colorful gems and jewellery, the capital of Rajasthan with its rich history has become the biggest tourist destination. The amalgamation of tradition and modernity makes the culture of this city phenomenal. Jaipur is one corner of the Golden-Triangle of tourism – which includes Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
The venue, accommodation and other information of the convention will be sent to you soon. The weather of Jaipur will be slightly hot in the month of August. Only NUJ(I) office bearers, executive members, special invitees, national council members, delegates, presidents of state units and general secretaries are invited to the convention. Kindly send the list of all the members coming to the convention to the NUJ office by 5th August. Few renowned politicians were invited to the convention. No announcement is being made about this yet. Only members invited by NUJ(I) can attend the convention. We will all meet in the convention after a long time. For this, you have to take full care of the time. Care must be taken to ensure that we can discuss all the important points.
It is a request to you that the states whose quota money could not be deposited till the last election, try to deposit it as soon as possible. You are aware that the organization is facing many problems right now. Those colleagues, who had announced financial assistance, should also try to complete it on time. The convention will begin on August 25 and conclude on August 27 at 12 noon. You have to reach Jaipur on 25th August. The convention will end on August 27. Plan your travel accordingly to return on 27 August 2023. Camp will close on 27th August 2023 after lunch and visit to Jaipur.
In the convention, proposals will be made on topics related to the media world and future programs will be discussed. Suggestions are invited from all of you. After getting the suggestions of all the colleagues, you will get the agenda of the convention, complete details of the program, accommodation, venue and complete information about the colleagues of Jaipur. There will be complete arrangements for transportation from Jaipur’s railway station and bus stand to the place of residence. The venue and accommodation will be some distance from Jaipur metropolis. Soon you will be given complete information about this.
You all know that NUJI President Ras Bihari has been elected as the President of Confederation of Newspapers and Newsagencies Employees Organization. The office bearers of the confederation are also being invited in a session in the convention. In this session, an outline will be made regarding the challenges and problems faced by the media world. Your participation in this session will help to outline the conflict.
A meeting of NUJI office bearers and senior colleagues is being organized soon in Kota to finalize the programmes. NUJ President Ras Bihari and General Secretary Pradeep Tiwari, Vice President Vimlesh Sharma, State President of JAR Subhash Sharma, General Secretary Bhag Singh, Former President of JAR Rakesh Sharma, Former General Secretary Sanjay Saini and other seniors in Jaipur on July 21nd and Kota on July 23rd, will hold a meeting with colleagues regarding the preparations for the convention. After this you will be sent the complete details of the convention.

प्रिय मित्रों,
यह बहुत ही प्रसन्नता की बात है कि दो साल के अंतराल के बाद नेशनल यूनियन ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स इंडिया के द्विवार्षिक अधिवेशन का आयोजन 25,26 व 27 अगस्त 2023 को जयपुर में किया जा रहा है। आप जानकारी में है कि कोरोना महामारी और कुछ अन्य कारणों से पिछली दो बार द्विवार्षिक अधिवेशन आयोजित नहीं हो पाए थे। कोरोना काल में लगाए गए प्रतिबंधों के दौरान एनयूजेआई के अध्यक्ष रास बिहारी के नेतृत्व में वर्चुअल महाधिवेशन का आयोजन किया गया था। इसमें 200 से ज्यादा स्थानों पर दो हजार से ज्यादा सदस्यों ने हिस्सा लिया। 2018 से लेकर अब तक एनयूजेआई से संबद्ध राज्य इकाइयों ने अनेक कार्यक्रमो का आयोजन किया है। एनयूजे की तरफ से पत्रकार सुरक्षा कानून, मीडिया काउंसिल और मीडिया कमीशन के गठन तथा पत्रकारों के उत्पीड़न को लेकर बड़े पैमाने पर आंदोलन छेड़े जाएंगे।
जर्नलिस्ट्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ राजस्थान ने जयपुर में 25,26 व 27 अगस्त को राष्ट्रीय महाधिवेशन करने का फैसला किया है। जार के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राकेश शर्मा, पूर्व महासचिव संजय सैनी, एनयूजेआई के उपाध्यक्ष विमलेश शर्मा, जार के अध्यक्ष सुभाष शर्मा, महासचिव भाग सिंह और अन्य सभी साथियों का आभार। हमें प्रसन्नता है कि जार के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राकेश शर्मा ने नवंबर में भोपाल में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में जयपुर में महाधिवेशन करने की घोषणा को साकार रूप दिया है। इसके लिए राकेश शर्मा और उनके सभी साथी बहुत मेहनत कर रहे हैं।
जयपुर में 1995 में आयोजित द्विवार्षिक अधिवेशन के बाद इस बार महाधिवेशन का आयोजन होगा। इससे पहले राजस्थान में राष्ट्रीय परिषद सम्मेलन का आयोजन भी किया गया। 2020 और 2021 में जयपुर तथा दौसा में राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी की बैठक का आयोजन किया गया था। नवंबर 2022 में भोपाल में राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया। एनयूजेआई से संबद्ध कई राज्य इकाइयों में कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। एनयूजे के अध्यक्ष रास बिहारी, महासचिव प्रदीप तिवारी, कोषाध्यक्ष अरविंद सिंह, उपाध्यक्ष कमलकांत उपमन्यु, दीपक राय, राणेश राणा, विमलेश शर्मा, पुण्यम राजू, भूपेन गोस्वामी, सचिव अमलेश राजू, के सी जोशी की कई कार्यक्रमों भागीदारी रही। एनयूजे के पूर्व अध्यक्ष प्रज्ञानंद चौधरी और पूर्व महासचिव प्रसन्न मोहंती लगातार एनयूजे को मजबूत करने में बड़ी भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। सभी राज्यों में संगठन को सक्रिय रखने क पूरे प्रयास किए जा रहे है। जल्दी ही केरल, कर्नाटक, गुजरात और पंजाब में संगठन को नया रूप दिया जाएगा। एनयूजे की तरफ से जल्दी ही चुनाव आयोग के गठन के बारे सूचना दी जाएगी।
राजस्थान की राजधानी जयपुर के बारे में आपको जानकारी होगी ही। जयपुर की स्थापना सन् 1727 में की गई थी। आमेर के राजा जयसिंह द्वितीय ने इस शहर का निर्माण कराया था। बढ़ती आबादी और पानी की कमी के कारण उन्होंने अपनी राजधानी को आमेर से इस नए शहर जयपुर में स्थानान्तरित कर दिया। इस शहर की बसावट तथा वास्तु, प्रसिद्ध वास्तुकार विद्याधर भट्टाचार्य के सिद्धान्तों के अनुरूप की। 1876 में जयपुर के इतिहास में एक नया अध्याय जुड़ गया जब प्रिंस ऑफ वेल्स ने भारत का दौरा किया। उनके स्वागत के लिए, तत्कालीन महाराजा रामसिंह ने पूरे शहर को गुलाबी (हिर्मिची) रंग में रंगवाया। आमेर, नाहरगढ़ और जयगढ़ के किले तथा गुलाबी नगर जयपुर स्वागत के लिए तैयार हो गया। सारी दुनियाँ में अपनी तरह का पहला नियोजित शहर बना जयपुर। अपने रंग-बिरंगे रत्नों और आभूषणों के लिए प्रसिद्ध, राजस्थान की राजधानी अपने वैभवपूर्ण इतिहास के साथ, सबसे बड़ी पर्यटन नगरी बन गया है। पारंपरिक तथा आधुनिकता का सम्मिश्रण, इस शहर की संस्कृति को अभूतपूर्व बनाता है। पर्यटन के स्वर्णिम त्रिकोण (गोल्डन-ट्राएंगल) का एक कोण, जयपुर है – जिसमें दिल्ली, आगरा और जयपुर शामिल हैं।
महाधिवेशन के आयोजन स्थल, आवास तथा अन्य जानकारी जल्दी ही आपको भेज दी जाएगी। अगस्त महीने में जयपुर का मौसम थोड़ा गर्म रहेगा। महाधिवेशन में एनयूजेआई के पदाधिकारी, कार्यकारिणी सदस्य, विशेष आमंत्रित सदस्य, राष्ट्रीय परिषद के सदस्य, डेलीगेट, राज्य इकाइयों के अध्यक्ष तथा महासचिव ही आमंत्रित हैं। महाधिवेशन में आने वाले सभी सदस्यों की सूची 5 अगस्त 2023 तक एनयूजे कार्यालय को भेजने का कष्ट करें। महाधिवेशन में अति महत्वपूर्ण राजनेताओं को आमंत्रित किया गया। इस बारे में अभी कोई घोषणा नहीं की जा रही है। एनयूजेआई की तरफ से आमंत्रित सदस्य ही महाधिवेशन में हिस्सा ले सकते हैं। हम सब बहुत दिनों के बाद महाधिवेशन में मिलेंगे। इसके लिए समय का पूरा ध्यान रखना है। हम सब महत्वपूर्ण बिन्दुओं पर चर्चा कर सके, इसका पूरा ध्यान रखना होगा।
आपसे निवेदन है कि जिन राज्यों की कोटा मनी पिछले चुनाव तक जमा नहीं हो पाई थी, उसे जल्दी से जल्दी जमा करने का कष्ट करें। आप जानते हैं कि अभी संगठन को कई समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। जिन साथियों ने आर्थिक सहायता देने की घोषणा की थी, उसे भी समय से पूरा करने का कष्ट करें।
महाधिवेशन का शुभारम्भ 25 अगस्त का होगा और समापन 27 अगस्त की दोपहर 12 बजे होगा। आपको 25 अगस्त को जयपुर पहुंचना है। 27 अगस्त को महाधिवेशन का समापन हो जाएगा। 27 अगस्त 2023 को वापसी के अनुसार अपनी यात्रा का कार्यक्रम बनाकर आएं। 27 अगस्त 2023 को भोजन के बाद जयपुर भ्रमण के बाद कैम्प बंद हो जाएगा।
महाधिवेशन में मीडिया जगत से जुड़े विषयों को लेकर प्रस्ताव रखे जाएंगे और भविष्य के कार्यक्रमों को लेकर विचार विमर्श किया जाएगा। आप सभी से सुझाव आमंत्रित हैं। सभी साथियों के सुझाव मिलने के बाद महाधिवेशन का एजेंडा, कार्यक्रम का पूरा ब्योरा, आवास स्थल, आयोजन स्थल और जयपुर के साथियों का पूरी जानकारी आपको मिल जाएगी। जयपुर के रेलवे स्टेशन और बस अड्डे से आवास स्थल तक पहुंचाने के लिए पूरा इंतजाम होगा। आयोजन स्थल और आवास जयपुर महानगर से कुछ दूर होगा। इस बारे में जल्दी ही आपको पूरी जानकारी दी जाएगी।
आप सबको पता है कि एनयूजेआई के अध्यक्ष रास बिहारी को कन्फेडरेशन ऑफ न्यूजपेपर्स एंड न्यूजएजेंसीस इम्पलाइज आर्गनाइजेशन का अध्यक्ष चुना गया है। महाधिवेशन में कन्फेडरेशन के पदाधिकारियों को भी एक सत्र में आमंत्रित किया जा रहा है। इस सत्र में मीडिया जगत के समक्ष चुनौतियों और समस्याओं को लेकर एक रूपरेखा बनाई जाएगी। इस सत्र में आपकी भागीदारी से संघर्ष की रूपरेखा बनाने में सहायता मिलेगी।
कार्यक्रमों को अंतिम रूप देने के लिए कोटा में एनयूजेआई के पदाधिकारियों और वरिष्ठ साथियों की एक बैठक जल्दी ही आयोजन किया जा रहा है। एनयूजे के अध्यक्ष रास बिहारी और महासचिव प्रदीप तिवारी, उपाध्यक्ष विमलेश शर्मा, जार के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सुभाष शर्मा, महासचिव भाग सिंह, जार के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राकेश शर्मा, पूर्व महासचिव संजय सैनी और अन्य साथी 21 जुलाई को जयपुर और 23 जुलाई को कोटा में वरिष्ठ साथियों के साथ बैठक में महाधिवेशन की तैयारी के संबंध में बैठक करेंगे। इसके बाद आपको महाधिवेशन की पूरी जानकारी भेज दी जाएगी।
हमें आशा है कि जयपुर के महाधिवेशन में हम सब मिलकर एनयूजेआई एक और नया इतिहास रचेंगे। आपसे अनुरोध है कि जयपुर महाधिवेशन में भागीदारी के लिए अपनी यात्रा का कार्यक्रम बनाकर टिकट आरक्षित करा लें।
